DMC Tutoring Log – Winter 2018
Tuesday: 11am-2pm

Week 1:
- Tuesday, Jan 23rd, 2018, 11am-2pm:
No clients today. For the first hour I completed 5 tutorials on Photoshop from the Adobe help website. For the rest of the shift I worked on the DMC challenge.
Week 2:
- Tuesday, Jan 30th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
No clients today. I worked on making custom key tags for some of the keys in the safe (Fish bowl, Storage upstairs/downstairs). I had a booking from 12-1pm for video editing. I watched some tutorials on specific applications on Premiere. The client came and cancelled 10 minutes before the appointment. I continued watching other tutorials on After Effects (i.e: track matte).
Week 3:
- Tuesday, Feb 6th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
I had an appointment booked today for 11:30-12:30, on “Graphic design using Photoshop”. I prepared myself by watching specific tutorials on graphic design for the first half hour. The client was a no-show. So I continued going through other Photoshop tutorials since I needed to brush up on PS anyways.
Week 4:
- Tuesday, Feb 13th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
No clients today. For, the first half an hour, I re-printed the key tags from last week, since the last print ran out of material before it could finish. Then I worked on creating a poster for the DMC tutoring service on Canva.
Week 5:
- Tuesday, Feb 20th, 2018, 11am-1pm:
No clients. Spent my time watching more Photoshop tutorials. Had to cover for Mateo in the makerspace 1-2pm, so I went there an hour early at 12pm and completed some basic Arduino tutorials.
Week 6:
- Tuesday, Mar 6th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
No clients. I printed out the poster from week 4 and put them up on the bulletin boards in the tunnel. Then I came back to the lab for the last hour of my shift and shot some video using the green screen to try out some cool chroma key post editing tricks.
Week 7:
- Tuesday, Mar 14th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
Blocked off from the calendar for ITS Student Satisfaction Survey distribution at Health Science Center Library.
Week 8:
- Tuesday, Mar 20th, 2018, 11am-2pm:
No clients today. Spent my first hour completing a motion graphics tutorial. I learned various text animation techniques on After Effects. Then I worked on making a poster for the Adobe Creative Suite software we provide for free.
