CS Fall 2017 Week 10 – Create a Challenge

It’s the most wonderful time of the semesterrrrr!

Create an original, short but comprehensive tutorial on a topic or a function/tool you find really useful that you’d like to pass on. Challenges should only take an hour or two to complete, and we may end up using it as a future challenge if it passes approval. The ideal tutorial is clear and concise, with screenshots to help guide others and a specific endgoal i.e. ticket creation, quiz, etc. Would prefer to not get general “guides” but involve something you have to create and post.

Your challenge should feature one (or more!) of the following:

  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, or Publisher – do not create a Sharepoint or other Office app challenge)
  • Linux capabilities
  • Kurzweil
  • Dragon Naturally Speaking
  • Inspiration
  • Coding/Web Design (not through Codecademy or other tutorial based site)
  • Any program you’re interested in – see me for approval

I know this is a very open challenge, but feel free to ask for help/guidance if you need it. The point is to get your point of view on some of the programs, and also give us a hand in creating challenges. We often get feedback that say the challenges take too long to complete, so we’re excited to get some from your perspective!

The deadline for full points is Tuesday, November 28th. Reminder, your Above and Beyond Report is also due on November 28th (no late submissions will be considered for points, so no extensions will be granted)

For this challenge I created an MS Excel challenge to create a What-if analysis:
