This semester I went above and beyond by putting in extra effort in every job/task that I was expected to carry out.
I wasn’t able to do many of the challenges last semester, so I set myself a goal to finish all the challenges this semester. I was able to accomplish this goal and go the extra mile to learn new things that were beyond the scope of the challenges.
I made sure to always tend to clients even if they requested something at the time of closing. I also tried my best to follow up with clients to make sure their issue, whatever it may be, did not recur.
This was my second semester at the Commons and I can say with confidence that I have improved as an employee and as a person. As an employee, because I am more familiar with the policies and procedures and I have assisted an adequate number of clients with various issues to be able to troubleshoot issues that occur the most. As a person, because I have met and learn from my talented co-workers everyday on the job. I have also learnt to manage time more efficiently because of the practice I got from juggling between challenges, shifts and coursework.
I will continue to keep looking for ways to go further above and further beyond in the coming semester (and beyond).
