As many others, I think that the crucial thing in a situation like that is to be constantly aware of your surroundings in order to anticipate, or at least prepare yourself mentally for what might happen. That way you’ll just do a practical routine of what you’ve been practicing internally for a long time. This is basically what Dr.Geller describes as the concept of total awareness, referred to as ” unagi ” by the japanese. (This last part is just a reference to “Friends”.
