Unit 5, Week 10: Reflection and Artifacts

Hey Gang,

March Break is in full swing here in Nova Scotia, hope you are all enjoying some type of relaxation. This weeks topic that I decided to focus on was “The Right to Play” health promotion. I watched the video and also went to the Right To Play Canada website. Artifact- 1:

This site is very informative and dives into the Right To Play initiative. Right To Play has over 14,000 volunteers who educate and develop young minds through play. The program has over 1 million children in the program, which extends over 20 different countries. Right To Play is very successful program. The program is funded through many different means of donations. Supporters see the value in the program, so by generous donations and many volunteer hours this Right To Play initiative is a “well oiled machine”. Below is a short video, created by the Right To Play team, it’s only a minute long but a great watch. The video was created when they reached 1 million children in the program.
