Describe a time when you received really terrible customer service. How would you have done a better job of dealing with the situation if you’d been the employee?

  • There was one time I received terrible customer service. I had gone to Mac Donald’s with some friends, and I was the only vegetarian among them. So when everyone had ordered and I asked if they serve the veggie wraps. The staff serving scoffed at me, and replied in a rude tone. You are asking for vegetarian options here, you should go to the Vegan restaurants. I ignored her comment and just told her that I just want 1 small fries and a soft drink. I was waiting for my fries, and I herd the staff member talking to another girl about how she hates people who are specific at what hey eat, and she hates vegans as her bf was one of them. Honestly she was speaking pretty loud, also my the other customers heard her. A few clients later the staff member had a client who was allergic to gluten and she was extremely nice with her and asking what she would have. While she served me with a frown.
    I have gotten used to people questioning my diet but this was a bit rude. It didn’t bother me much but when she got a client who had an gluten allergy she was responding to the client with respect.

Personally, If i was in her situation, I would treat all customers the same, even if I had some personal problems I would never let that affect my professional work, or be rude to a client in any way.
