What was the most important thing you took away from this video? Have you ever considered what you would do if an active intruder entered the library while you’re working? What is the first thing you would do and why?
The most important thing I took from this video is to not hesitate, and doubt yourself, if you hear a gunshot/ something like it, assume it is a gunshot and act that way. If the shooter came into the library, the first thing I would do is press the panic button and go to safety , (it could be the stairs or the back of the library )and let as many people know about the situation as possible. Then also call 911, and be quiet and calculating what should I do next. I will also try to keep a makeshift weapon on me, if I don’t have time to run to safety. If possible I would take a picture of the attacker from my hiding spot and post it on facebook or a social media which will help gain attention quickly. In this case it will also help people from detecting the attacker.
